작가는 아이티에서 출생하여 도미니카공화국을 거쳐 뉴욕에서 활동중이다.

뉴욕 Parsons the New School for Design에서 학사를, Fashion Institute of Technology에서 석사를 취득하였다.

다양한 경험은 그에게 글로벌 예술 세계에 대한 접근을 제공했다. 그는 아이티,퀘벡,뉴욕,상하이,파리,산토 도밍고에 이르기까지 10회의 개인전 및 27회의 그룹전, 비엔날레, 트리엔날레, 아트 페어를 통해 국제적인 예술가가 되었다.

'나는 인간의 조건을 다루는 아이디어에 관심이 있습니다. 따라서 내 작업은 소속감, 기억, 개인 및 집단 정체성과 같은 개념을 중심으로 진행됩니다. 18세에 아이티를 떠난 후 도미니카 공화국에서 10년, 뉴욕에서 12년째 살고 있는데 이런 이주 과정은 내가 고립을 넘어 틀을 깨고 작품을 만들게 하였습니다. 나는 건축 형태의 틀에 자연과 인간의 모습을 결합하여 "상황-경관"을 만듭니다.'라고 말하는 그는 자신의 개인 이민사를 통해서 관찰한 다양한 세상의 경험을 토대로 인간이 가진 근본적 질문과 깨달음을 캔버스에 펼쳐 보이며 우리를 초대하고 있다.
